Hello Everyone,
I've created this blog to help us post questions, facts and other information that would help us grow in our sanctification process. Let me know what you think?
Hello Paul....I hold a Biblical Doctrinal belief which is at odds with the Lutheran position and I'd like to receive some good arguments contrary to my position. If you're up for "controversy" I'll post my position. If you'd rather stear clear of controversy I'll post something else....thanks for putting this together...see ya, Scott
My position on controversy is straight forward. If the controversy is based on your salvation, than yes the discussion has merit. If it's for controversy sake alone, talk to the hand and we should discuss something else.
Fair enough....I believe that once we are a recipient of God's saving grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone that there's nothing we can do to negate that saving grace i.e. once we're saved we're always saved regardless of what we do after we're saved. I did nothing for my salvation and there's nothing I can do to reverse God's absolute promise of salvation. It's my understanding that Lutheran Doctrine teaches that we can lose salvation...correct? If that is correct, what does a believer in Jesus Christ have to do to lose his salvation? It's also my understanding that the only unpardonable sin is blaspheming the Holy Spirit which I understand as rejecting Jesus Christ i.e. no faith alone in Christ alone. Other than rejection of Christ, He paid the price on the Cross for every sin i have committed or ever will commit. Comments would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott
Ok, here is the first comment from me to me.
